5 SURPRISINGLY SIMPLE BEDROOM STORAGE HACKS

Bedroom Storage - IKEA Qatar

The bedroom is one of the most personal spaces in your house – but it can be a struggle to find a place to put everything neatly, in an organised way. You don’t have to keep on adding extra cabinets and shelves – IKEA has an extensive range of bedroom furniture, shelving units, benches, storage units with boxes and wardrobes that will make your storage solution extremely simple.

Check out these 5 easy hacks to solve all your storage woes!

  1. LET YOUR BED DOUBLE UP AS STORAGE

Choose from one of IKEA’s numerous bed frames with storage options to explore how you can store items under the bed in an organised way. Our beds come with spacious drawers where you can store linen, clothes, knickknacks and more.

  1. USE THOSE CORNERS

Do you know that corners are one of the most underused spaces? Instead of leaving them free or just putting a plant or an occasional table, why not go for one of IKEA’s corner wardrobes? These will take up much less space than a similar sized wardrobe standing against a wall – and they all come with numerous shelves that you can use in a multitude of ways.

  1. PUT STORAGE INSIDE STORAGE

You’ve got your shelves and wardrobes, but everything inside feels like a big mess, right? Don’t worry, IKEA’s extensive collection of storage bags, boxes and baskets will come to the rescue. These come in different shapes and sizes, so all you need to do is put specific items in each box or basket and put those inside your wardrobe. Some of these even come with lids, so you can stack them up, again using that unused vertical space inside wardrobes for maximum effect. This is one of the simplest hacks to implement.

  1. USE HOOKS AND HANGERS

You don’t need a whole wardrobe or even a shelf for a lot of items: simply hang up hooks and hangers in your bedroom and use the wall as a storage space! This can really come in handy, for everything from handbags to coats and jackets, scarves, bathrobes and more! One key tip: again, use corners for these so you don’t have stuff hanging off the wall in the middle of the room!

  1. HANG SHELVES UP HIGH

There will be a lot of items you need to store that are not essential for everyday use. You don’t have to chuck them all in the attic or above wardrobes, though. Choose from one of IKEA’s numerous wall cabinets – but hang them above head height. Voila! This way you’ll maximise the space but outside the standard visual area.
